As a Malaysian nutritionist, there is one eating tip that I couldn’t stop talking about: Bring Your Own Veggies!
I started doing this because I enjoy having breakfast in kopitiam. Any Malaysian would agree that kopitiam is our culture. A few of my
favourite kopitiam breakfasts are: Pan Mee, any type of noodle soup, Lei Cha, kaya toast and eggs.
Other than Lei Cha, there isn’t much fiber in my favourite kopitiam breakfast. So I decided to start bringing easy to prep veggies/fruits to kopitiam.
What started as a simple action of bringing vegetables to kopitiam to add fiber to my local breakfast, now has become a movement that a lot of my followers are implementing.
Now I am pushing this movement further by materializing it through these BYOV related merchandises: bento box, t-shirt, stickers.
I want you to be able to use them like it’s part of your identity. Whenever someone asks about your cute merch, I hope you wear it with pride and tell them all about the concept of BYOV — because if more Malaysians start eating more vegetables, just know that you played a part in making that happen.
